Job Title: Nuclear Safety Basis Engineer / Analyst
Under general supervision, perform Nuclear Safety job functions. The specific work assignments may include duties or activities that assist and support management in ensuring strong facility safety basis. Typical responsibilities include:
•Partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop the Integrated Safety Analyses for the facility.
•Ensure the Integrated Safety Analyses adequately bound the design and operation of facilities such that the performance requirements per Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70.61 are met.
•Interface with a wide variety of departments such as operations, engineering, and assurance.
•Perform safety basis analyses for facilities, including hazard identification, hazard analysis, accident analysis, and control selection, and provide extensive experienced technical advice and assistance to line organizations and federal regulators on complex safety basis issues.
Job Requirements (Desired Qualifications):
•Bachelor or Master degrees in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM technical field.
•Three (3) years of experience with nuclear safety basis, nuclear safety analysis, or nuclear system engineering.
•Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance.
