Job Description
The Membership Services Representative is part of a team focused on achieving the mission and strategic goals of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce and will be involved in a variety of activities to achieve the mission. 

The primary responsibility of the Membership Services Representative is to interact with current, prospective and previous members of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. The ultimate goal is to grow the membership base by: 
  • Working with volunteer leadership, develop, implement and manage a membership retention/connection program;
  • Scheduling ribbon cutting, grand opening and other celebration events for members;
  • Responding to inquiries and identifying prospects for new memberships, and facilitating necessary meetings to secure new memberships;
  • Identifying and recommending benefits for members;
  • Utilizing customized database software to track members' activities and information;
  • Working with the Chamber team, be involved in the planning, coordination and execution of special events.
Qualifications
  • Two years of sales, customer or guest service experience.
  • Outgoing, professional.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with little supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Associates Degree
  • Residency in Oak Ridge is preferred, but not required.
The position is a part-time (20 to 25 hours per week) and includes a cell phone allowance, mileage reimbursement and benefits as outlined the Employee Handbook.
